State police are looking for the person behind the wheel in a hit-and-run that happened in Thompson Sunday.
Troopers said the driver was traveling north on Interstate 395, about a half mile south of exit 53.
The driver's vehicle veered into the shoulder and struck the person, who was outside of their own vehicle at the time of the incident, around 9:15 p.m.
Troopers believe the evading vehicle has side front headlight and fender damage.
State police responded to the scene and found the victim's disabled vehicle on the side of the road. They also found the victim to be badly hurt.
The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
