Eyewitnesses said the man tried to run across the road when he was first hit by the truck and then a car.
The driver of the truck stayed on scene, but the second driver kept going. Investigators have been in contact with him and believe that driver just wanted to get to his home around the corner so he could call police.
This is the ninth time a person has been hit by a car in Connecticut since Thursday. Seven of those victims have died.
