A Waterbury woman is facing charges after police said she stole packages from a neighborhood in Shelton.
Officers were called to Aspetuck Village in Shelton for the report of a woman taking Christmas packages that were left outside by a UPS deliver driver.
Eyewitnesses were able to get a description of the woman’s car, including her license plate, and began searching the area.
Police located the woman, who was identified as 33-year-old Andrea Guliuzza. She was stopped on Route 8 north near exit 16.
In her car, police found 12 separate packages. Ten of them were from five different Shelton addresses, and two were from Waterbury.
Officers also found drug paraphernalia in the car.
Guliuzza was held on a $5,000 bond and is expected to appear in court on Dec. 9.
She was charged with sixth-degree larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia.
