ROCKY HILL, CT (WFSB) -

Rocky Hill firefighters remain on scene of an deadly early morning house fire on Walnut Road.

Crews were called to 65 Walnut Rd. shortly after 3 a.m. and when they arrived they found smoke billowing from the home.

The second floor was heavily damage by the fire, leaving several gaping holes in the building.

Fire officials confirm that two victims were located later on the second floor of the home in two different bedrooms.  They have not been identified at this time.

One firefighter was treated on scene for a minor injury, officials said.

The Rocky Hill fire marshal, State Police Fire and Explosion Unit and Rocky Hill Police investigators have all been called to the scene to assist with investigating the cause of the fire.
