STORRS, CT (WFSB) -

With snow expected to move into the state on Sunday evening, the University of Connecticut is taking precautions and delaying some Monday classes.

The university said the Storrs, greater Hartford, School of Law, and Waterbury campuses will have a delayed opening on Monday.

Final exams scheduled before 10 a.m. will be rescheduled to Thursday.

Officials said non-essential employees at those campuses will report to work at 10 a.m. on Monday.

UConn’s Avery Point and Stamford campuses will operate on their normal schedules.

Snow is expected to move into the state Sunday evening, and will continue throughout the overnight hours.

Anywhere from 1 inch to 4 inches of snow is expected for much of the inland part of the state, with higher accumulations expected further north in Litchfield County.

While the snow will turn over to rain by Monday morning, the morning commute is expected to be slick.
