Shelton man dies after being hit by car

SHELTON, CT (WFSB) -

A Shelton man died last week after he was hit by a car in the area of Shelton Avenue, at the entrance of a hiking trail.

Police said they responded to the area just after 5 p.m. for the report of someone having been hit by a car.

The victim was identified as 48-year-old Ronald Richard, who was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a car, where he died.

Police said 45-year-old Christopher Goldspink was driving south on Meadow Street when his car hit Richard as he was crossing the street.

No charges have been filed at this time.
