SOUTHINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

A Waterbury man was seriously injured Wednesday night when he was struck by a vehicle in Southington. 

According to police, Neim Redzepi was injured in the area of 1850 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike easy of Knotter Drive. 

Police said the driver, later identified as Wolcott man Joseph Scarmozzino and a passenger were not injured in the crash. 

The road was closed for several hours as police investigated the incident. Officers reopened the road around 10:15 p.m.

Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to call Southington Police.
