A West Haven man, who had three young children in his motor vehicle, was charged with driving under the influence after two crashes in two Connecticut towns last week.
Police charged 33-year-old Antonio Bazar with DUI and three counts of risk of injury to a minor.
The arrest of Bazar comes after officers were called to a crash near the intersection of Route 121 and 34 in Orange around 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 18.
Police said one of the involved drivers, who was later identified as Bazar, had fled from a crash scene in Derby.
Following standardized roadside sobriety tests, officers arrested Bazar.
