CLINTON, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Clinton said they arrested a man in connection with a double stabbing.

Anthony Magaraci, 56, of West Haven was arrested.

Police said he left the scene on River Road in a vehicle before he was found with a woman in Windsor.

Officers from Clinton and Madison collected evidence Sunday night at two neighboring homes on River Road.

The incident happened just before 8 p.m. on Sunday. Police said they responded to a complaint about two people being stabbed at 28 River Rd.

Both stabbing victims, both of whom are 45 years of age, were taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police found Magaraci's vehicle just off of Interstate 91 in Windsor. He was taken into custody at that point.

He was charged with first-degree assault and second-degree assault.

The woman was not charged with a crime and was released.

Magaraci is being held on a $500,000 bond. He is due in Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown on Tuesday.

The victims have not been identified.

There's no word on a motive.
