Connecticut environmental authorities say a New York boater has died after he was pulled from the waters of Long Island Sound in the Stamford Harbor.
State DEEP Environmental Conservation Police say the Harrison, New York man was among several people aboard a 38-foot cabin cruiser that was nearing the docks Saturday night. He was last seen on the rear swim platform of the vessel.
Authorities say the 51-year-old man was reported missing from the boat around 11 p.m.
Rescuers later found the man in the water. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead Sunday morning.
Authorities are investigating.
