A woman is facing embezzlement charges in North Haven, after being accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Police arrested 48-year-old Sharon Cordero of Meriden.
While she worked as a bookkeeper, police said she allegedly made deposits into her personal account. Police said she used business money to pay for her health care plan, and altered business records to cover it all up.
Over the course of a five-year period, police said she stole more than $255,000.
Cordero was arrested and charged with first-degree larceny, and second-degree larceny.
She’s expected to appear in court on Nov. 2.
