Theodore the goat has become an Instagram superstar.
With more than 11,000 followers on the Riley Farm Rescue Instagram page, many people are want to know what the goats are up to.
“He is the hero that’s what we call him,” Marla Riley with Riley Farm Rescue in Brooklyn said.
Theodore's girlfriend, Clarabelle, got stuck in a pricker bush on the wrong side of the fence. He saved her by alerting to his owners
“She was stuck right here and Clarabelle was screaming,” Riley said. “My daughter ran around and got her out and back to yard.”
That's because goats have a special bond.
“I got them together and they've been together ever since,” Riley said.
The two were bottle-fed as babies. When their owners had to give them both up that's when Riley took them in.
“A farmer contacted me because their mothers wouldn't feed them, so I took them in,” Riley said. “And they needed to be bottled feed every 4 hours. They were just 5 pounds when we got them.”
Their stories have touched many, which is why people from New York and New Jersey, will be meeting them over the weekend.
“This is the first time for him, so this will be interesting,” Riley said. “He likes people. He's very friendly.”
A meet and greet will be held Saturday at the Tractor Supply in Windham from noon to 2:30 p.m.
