A 44-year-old woman was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol after police said she was driving the wrong way on Route 3 in Wethersfield on Thursday afternoon.
Besides DUI, Police charged Middletown resident Julianne Tedeschi with driving the wrong way on a divided highway.
The arrest of Tedeschi comes after police said she was driving northbound in her 2014 Nissan Rogue on the southbound side of Route 3 around 4:30 p.m. Police said Tedeschi kept driving in the right lane and eventually crashed head-on into a 2014 Subaru Forester.
The driver of the Forester refused medical attention at the scene, however, Tedeschi was rushed to Hartford Hospital for "minor injuries," police said.
Police said Tedeschi did not perform the Field Sobriety Test to standard.
Tedeschi is being held on $500 bond. She will be arraigned in New Britain Superior Court on Nov. 15.
