TORRINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Torrington said the death of a 15-month-old back in June has been ruled a homicide.

A caregiver told police the child was found unresponsive in a bathtub at a home on South Main Street on June 6.

The boy was pronounced dead at the hospital.

On Tuesday, police said the medical examiner’s office has determined that the child’s death was a homicide and the cause of death was submersion in a bathtub with blunt injuries of the head and acute alcohol intoxication.

Torrington police said the investigation is ongoing.

It is unclear if any arrests have been made or are forthcoming.
