(Meredith) –  A heartwarming moment between a Walmart cashier and a customer shows a little patience and understanding can make all the difference.

Spring Bowlin said she was waiting in the checkout line at a Mississippi Walmart when the customer in front of her was having trouble counting his change at the register.

She said his hands and voice were shaking as he pulled out handfuls of coins from his pockets. He became flustered after miscounting the change, having to start over.

“I’m sorry,” the man said.

The cashier intervened and assured him that everything was going to be okay.

“This is not a problem, honey. We will do this together,” the cashier said, according to Bowlin.

After the cashier completed the man's transaction, Bowlin thanked her for being patient and kind.

"You shouldn't have to thank me, baby. What's wrong with our world is we've forgotten how to love one another,” the cashier replied.

Bowlin said she aspires to be more like the cashier in the post she shared on Facebook. Since being posted on Thursday, it's been shared more than 19,000 times.
