It's not exactly beach weather, but if you hike at Hammonasset State Park, some areas will be closed until the spring.
Several roads and trails will be off limits while crews are installing new electrical and water systems and also building a new paved trail.
Vehicle, pedestrian and bike traffic is prohibited on all roadways and paths at the east end of Hammonasset State Park, according to Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection.
People will still be able to access the beach at the Meigs Point.
The DEEP officials said access to the east end of Hammonasset State Park will be restored in January 2018.
