WEST HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

Neighbors in West Haven woke up Tuesday morning to find vandalism outside of their homes.

It happened on three streets in West Haven where car windows were blasted out with a BB gun.

Car owners said they don't understand what someone gets out of doing something like this, and they say it’s happened before.

Kyle Pesce said the shooter not only shot out the driver’s side window of his Ford Focus, but also knocked out both rear windows with one shot.

"It’s more aggravating that the money that has to come out of this and chances are no one else is going to have to pay this money, it’s pretty frustrating,” Pesce said.

According to West Haven police, vandals hit parked cars on Dana, Lamson, and Elm streets overnight. All of these roads run off First Avenue.

"I taped it up as soon as it started raining and as you can see on the inside, there is nothing there. So, this is just a makeshift, quick job,” Pesce said.

Danny Garcia is Kyle’s next-door neighbor. Their cars were parked next to each other on Dana Street Monday night.

Not only is his window gone, but he now has a couple of dents in his Acura too.

"It’s a shame, you know. You go to sleep one night, expect to get up the next morning to go to work and you have to deal with this nonsense. It’s unfortunate,” Garcia said.

As police investigate, the guys say sadly it’s not the first time the neighborhood has had to deal with something like this.

"About maybe a year ago it happened to four cars on the same side of the road, same incident, BB guns,” Pesce said.

Before this happens again, Garcia said he’s now considering installing surveillance cameras outside the house.

"We're actually thinking about putting cameras because we don't want this to become a reoccurring thing,” Garcia said.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Haven police.
