BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) -

Three Metro-North employees were injured on Wednesday after two trains bumped into each other in Bridgeport.

Around 1:30 p.m., Metro-North reported the delays that were to be expected on the Waterbury line because of the collision.

The injuries sustained by the three employees were not life-threatening.

MTA officials said two trains were both traveling at slow speeds and had no customers on board.

The fire chief said the tracks were briefly shut down while emergency crews used tower ladders, a bucket and a rescue basket to get the workers down.

The tracks are now back open.
