    • Troopers: Three Injured In Route 81 Crash

    Route 81 In Haddam Closed In Both Directions

    HADDAM, Conn. -- State police closed Route 81 on Wednesday afternoon because of a one-car crash.

    Troopers told Eyewitness News that they requested LifeStar helicopter to respond, but they cannot fly because of the threat of severe weather.

    Troopers said at least three people suffered injuries at the scene.

    According to the state Department of Transportation, Route 81 is closed in both directions at Hidden Lake Road in Haddam.
