Police said a person was killed Thursday when a van overturned on Interstate 84 in Tolland.

Traffic officials said the left lane on the eastbound side of the roadway was closed temporarily between exits 68 and 69.

They said the incident occurred at about 1:20 p.m.

Police said the van went over a guardrail.
