CROMWELL, Conn. -- Connecticut state police said that a pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 9.Police said that a woman got out of her vehicle to check something when she was hit by a Penske truck.The northbound side of the highway was shut down while police investigated.The highway has since reopened.
