Flight From Amsterdam To Conn. Welcomed

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. -- Tourism officials from western Massachusetts and Connecticut were on hand Monday to greet passengers arriving from Amsterdam at Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks.It was the first flight for new nonstop flights between Bradley and Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.Northwest Airlines and its partner KLM Royal Dutch Airlines are operating the new service, which will run seven days a week.Channel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Kara Sundlun reported that 757s have been renovated to be more comfortable for international flights.The planes have 16 business seats that offer numerous amenities.The cost of the average roundtrip flight from Bradley to Amsterdam is $1,000 if booked two weeks in advance.
