Dupree, Perkins Lead Sky Past Storm

Seattle, WA -- (Sports Network) - Candice Dupree dropped 28 points and nailed a three-pointer with time winding down that gave Chicago the lead for good as the Sky edged the Storm, 86-81.Dupree connected on 11-of-16 field goals and hit each of her three attempts from beyond the arc to help Chicago snap a four-game losing streak. Jia Perkins scored 12 of her 16 points in the pivotal fourth quarter and Kristi Toliver provided 22 points and seven assists off the bench. Lauren Jackson and Tanisha Wright had 18 points apiece for the Storm, who had won two in a row. Swin Cash scored 14 and Janell Burse 13 in defeat. The game was tied at 61 with three quarters in the books and the final quarter unfolded in a back-and-forth battle. Wright scored six straight points for Seattle but Perkins had answers on the other end and poured in 10 consecutive points, tying the game at 79 with 1:49 to go on a layup. Dupree followed with the trey and the Sky went 4-for-4 at the free throw line down the stretch to seal the win.
