Hartford man accused of robbery, police pursuit set to face a judge
NEW BRITAIN, CT (WFSB) - A Hartford man accused of armed robbery and evading police on a dangerous pursuit was scheduled to appear in New Britain Judicial Court on Monday.
William Walker, 31, faces 10 charges and was held on $1 million bond.
According to Bristol police, they received a 911 phone call about an armed robbery around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday.
The victim told officers that they were held at gunpoint at the Webster Bank ATM on Farmington Avenue.
The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored Honda.
When authorities located the suspect’s vehicle, a pursuit ensued, which resulted in a crash on Route 6 near Federal and North streets.
Minor injuries were reported for those involved and the road was closed for sometime. The road has since reopened.
The investigation remained on-going as of Monday morning.
