A fire engulfs a 2 story house in Manchester

The fire started around 8:50 a.m. There were no injuries to the six people in the house.

MANCHESTER, CT. (WFSB) - Firefighters responded to a fire that tore thought a 2-story house.

The incident started around 8:50 a.m. at 101 Cedar Street.

The fire is under control, but there are still firefighters and the gas company trucks on scene.

The fire chief said that there was heavy smoke all over the house starting from the first floor.

About six people were inside, but luckily they got out.

No one was injured aside from a few firefighters being treated on scene for minor injuries.

Manchester Fire Chief, Daniel French, said, “it appears it started on the first floor and got its way into the attic.”

Until further investigation, the cause of the fire is unknown
