Crews battle house fire in North Granby

NORTH GRANBY, CT (WFSB) – Crews are battling a house fire in North Granby Tuesday afternoon.

The blaze is at a home on Loomis Street.

It turns out a Lost Acres firefighter lives in this North Granby home. His power went out, hooked up his generator and then “heard a big bang.” House has been on fire since around 10:30 this morning. A Lost Acres firefighter lives in the home.

After losing power the homeowner decided to hook up his generator, when something went wrong.

The home has been on fire since around 10:30 a.m. It appears to be heavily damaged.

Nobody was hurt, including the homeowner’s three dogs.
