Christian Colon is a bilingual multimedia journalist who joined WFSB in January 2021.
Christian is a proud Puerto Rican and a Connecticut native. He was born in New Haven and raised in West Haven.
He graduated with his Bachelors of Science from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield. He majored in Criminal Justice and Media Arts.
After that he earned his Masters of Science at the Columbia University School of Journalism in NYC.
For two years he reported in Spanish and English for KRGV and AZTECA in Mcallen, Texas where he covered the Southern U.S Mexico border. Christian would cover general county news and immigration stories on both sides of the border including immigrants forced to live in tents as they wait for their U.S asylum court hearing.
At WFSB Christian covers nightside stories across the state from politics to school board controversies. Christian also covers stories on the Latino community.
