FRENCH ONION BURGER Yield : 2 Burgers Recipe by Chef Hunter Morton INGREDIENTS 2 each 8 oz burgers, formed into patties 4 slices of swiss cheese 2 each large sweet onions, sliced 2 cups low sodium chicken stock 1 cup beef broth 2 each thick sliced sourdough bread 4 sprigs fresh thyme, chopped 2 Tbsp Worcestershire 2 Tbsp sugar 2 Tbsp onion powder 4 Tbsp olive oil METHOD Heat oil in medium pot add over med-high heat, add onions and cook till brown, 4-5 minutes Add sugar, salt then cook for 10 more minutes till soft Add chicken stock, beef broth, Worcestershire and thyme and simmer 10 minutes Mix ground beef with onion powder, season with salt and pepper. Broil burgers till desired temperature, top with swiss cheese, melt Place sourdough on sheet pan drizzle with oil, toast Top toast with caramelized onions top with burger, pour over remaining jus
