World-class jazz comes to Roxbury on Saturday, March 30 when The Doug White Quintet performs live at the Roxbury Congregational Church. The concert, which features Chris Casey, on piano, Past Casey on trumpet, Tido Holt Kamp on drums, Steve “King” Porter on bass and Doug White on tenor saxophone and vocals, will begin at 7 p.m. and benefit the church’s mission outreach. The quintet’s programs include works from bop to ballads, original material, standards, blues, and modern-style improvising. Their albums include The Doug White Quintet Live at Tapeworks and their new CD Fovever. For questions, please contact the Roxbury Congregational Church office at 860-355-1978.
