#TEAMJAYDEN is a Community group helping raise money for the family of Jadyen Szkirka who is an 11 year old, East Hartford resident, who was recently diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer). Jayden loves his family, his friends, Legos and Minecraft. Jayden's Dad, Steve grew up in East Hartford and is a local plumber and is working many hours to help make ends meet and Jayden's Mom, Jackie, is a teacher at Sunset Ridge Middle School in town and will be taking the summer off to get Jayden to and from his treatments and appointments. Jayden has 3 other siblings, 2 older sisters and a younger sister. Their family is strong and is so appreciative of everyone supporting them and fighting with them for Jayden!

Jayden is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments and will be having surgery next month to remove more of the area were the cancer was found and replace part of his knee with a cadavar bone.

As a community, we have come together with local businesses and the O'Connell Elementary PTO to help the family with medical expenses.

Our biggest fundraising event, Pasta Night, is being held at Maneeley's in South Windsor on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 6:00-8:30pm. Tickets are available online at www.eventbrite.com (search in East Hartford for Team Jayden). Cost is $25 for ages 11 and up and $10 for ages 10 and under.  There will be food, a DJ, a Photobooth, raffles, a lego contest and a silent auction! All proceeds will go directly to Jayden's family!

Please join us as we FIGHT for Jayden along side his family!
