'All clear' given at Bloomfield business following bomb threat

A business in Bloomfield was evacuated because of a threat on Monday morning.

Police said the bomb threat was made to the Jacobs Vehicle Systems company at East Dudley Town and Old Iron Ore roads.

Old Iron Ore Road was closed.

East Dudley Town Road was closed at Blue Hills Avenue in Bloomfield and the Windsor town line.

However, just before 10 a.m., police said they opened up the parameter and the area.

The threat was phoned in around 6:45 a.m., according to police.

Security informed them that an anonymous caller stated "bombs would be going off within the hour."

The building was immediately evacuated.

There's no word on any suspect at this point.

Bloomfield police, along with help from Windsor police, were on the scene. A perimeter was set up.

Additional resources from the Bloomfield Fire Department and the Hartford Police Department's bomb squad also helped.

Teams went through the building but found nothing.
