State Police lights

PLAINVILLE, CT (WFSB) - More than 2 miles of backup built up on Interstate 84 in Plainville following a vehicle fire.

The Department of Transportation reported that the fire was between exits 25 and 26 on the eastbound side.

It was first reported a little after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

The DOT said the backup was roughly 2.3 miles long.

There's no word on injuries or a cause.
