Body found in Connecticut River identified as MA man

A body pulled from the Connecticut River in Windsor Friday has been identified.

Police said 56-year-old Lester H. Eldridge of Longmeadow, MA was found near a boat launch on East Barber Street around 8 a.m.

Eldridge was reported missing from Springfield, MA on May 14, according to officers.

Massachusetts State Police told Windsor police that they are investigating Eldridge's disappearance from the area of the South Street Bridge in Springfield.

The cause of death has not been released.
