No one was injured during a second-alarm fire in New Haven on Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to a fire at 1187 Chapel St. around 1:50 p.m., Upon arrival, there were reports of "visible flames" showing from the building.

Authorities said the fire started on the second floor and spread to the attic. There were no residents home at the time of the fire.

The fire was knocked down, but not before the building sustained sufficient damage, authorities said.

The cause of fire remains under investigation.
