Cheshire High School dismissed early on Monday because of a plumbing issue.

The superintendent's office said buses arrived at the school around 9:45 a.m. to bring students home. Parents were able to pick their children up at 10 a.m.

On Monday evening, the school said the blockage was cleared and all evening activities were continuing as scheduled.

School will be held on Tuesday, although some classes may need to relocate while the drying continues.

"We are working closely with our maintenance staff, our contractors, and our local health district representative to ensure that the school environment is ready for this evening and beyond," Superintendent of Schools Jeffrey Solan said in a statement on Monday.
