Police in New Haven said they're looking for the driver of a SUV who they believe was involved in a deadly hit-and-run that happened Saturday morning.

They said 31-year-old Garry T. Gulledge of Oakville was somehow involved while riding a Suzuki SV650 motorcycle.

It happened at Walley and Osborn Avenues around 2:05 a.m.

Police said they're looking for a 2003-2007 silver-colored Acura MDX with damage to its right passenger side and a missing passenger side rocker panel.

They said the SUV could have other damage on the passenger side as well.

The driver fled towards Goff Terrace.

Police said prior to the crash, two officers reportedly saw the same motorcyclist performing a "wheelie" on Walley Avenue near Sherman Avenue.

However, witnesses reported seeing a silver-colored SUV fleeing north.

Investigators began looking into surveillance video and pictures from before and after the crash.

They said they spotted the silver SUV in the footage.

An autopsy confirmed that Gulledge died from blunt force impact injuries to the neck and torso.

Anyone with information was asked to contact Sergeant Rose Dell at 203-506-4369 or New Haven police at 203-946-6304.
