Multiple cars caught fire outside of a home in Ellington Sunday morning.

State police said five cars caught fire on Westview Terrace around 2:30 a.m.

Ellington firefighters said there were originally three cars on fire, but a fourth fire caught fire while they were waiting for more trucks.

It took half an hour to put out the fire.

The street is closed and police have called it a crime scene.

Six people were sleeping inside the home at the time of the fire, but no one was injured.

They said the cars are theirs.
