Firearm, marijuana seized during motor vehicle stop in Hartford

Officers seized a firearm and marijuana during a motor vehicle stop in Hartford on Friday night.

A motor vehicle was stopped in the area of 98 Russ St. around 8:30 p.m. During the stop, police located the weapon and drugs.

The driver was wanted on a warrant for threatening and breach of peace charges.

Hartford resident 21-year-old Deshawn Harley was charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, failure to have headlamps lit, insufficient insurance, weapons in a motor vehicle and carrying a pistol without permit.

The passenger of the vehicle was 21-year-old Quinton Prince. He was charged with possession of marijuana before being released by officers.
