Hartford police identify man who was found shot several times in a car

Hartford police said a man died of an overdose Friday.

According to officials, the man, who has not been identified, was found unresponsive on Farmington Avenue.

He was found seated in the front passengers seat of a vehicle.

Emergency officials tried reviving the man, but were unsuccessful.

He was transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Police located the owner of the vehicle and allowed officials to search the car.

A wax sleeve stamped "Passion" was found, containing a small zip lock bag with white powder inside.

Officials are currently investigating.
