Fireworks generic

(WFSB) - Cities and towns across Connecticut are going ahead with summer fireworks displays.

The following is a list of the municipalities that have announced shows:

July 7

  • Vernon - July in the Sky event - Patriotic Parade, Food Vendors, Live Music and Entertainment Ahead of Spectacular Fireworks Show
  • New London - Eat in The Street fireworks at 9 p.m. on the top of the Water St Parking garage

July 8

  • Derby / Shelton (postponed, new date TBD)

July 9

  • Torrington - Fireworks at 9:15 p.m. at Torrington Middle School

July 10

  • Bristol - Lake Compounce show at dusk (Postponed from July 3)
  • Guilford - Guliford Fairgrounds, Lovers Lane, fireworks at dusk

July 16

  • New London - Ocean Beach Park after the Elton John tribute band “Bennie and the Jets”

July 17

  • Newington - Extravaganza Fireworks in Mill Pond Park at 9:30 p.m.

July 30

  • Simsbury - Fireworks from Celebrate America! event will be held at Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center (Postponed from July 2)

Aug. 28

  • Clinton - Summerfest and fireworks, 50 E. Main St., 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Simsbury - Darius Rucker and fireworks, Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, 22 Iron House Blvd., 4:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Nov. 27

  • New Milford - 25 Main St., 7:30 p.m. - 11 p.m. (Postponed from July 3)
