Investigators stage ecstasy delivery, arrest Norwalk man

A man accused of selling ecstasy in Norwalk was arrested by police on Thursday.

They said 26-year-old Joshua Lucas, also known as Joshua Pucheta, was found to be accepting packages containing the drug.

Homeland Security said they found three packages containing 750 grams of ecstasy during routine processing. The packages were addressed to Lucas.

Norwalk police, Homeland Security and the U.S. Postal Service's investigative division said they collaborated and set up a controlled delivery of the packages to Lucas's home.

After he signed and accepted the packages, he was taken into custody.

Following Lucas's arrest, police said they executed a search and seizure warrant at the home. They said they found material consistent with a drug factory setting.

Lucas was charged with possession of a hallucinogen, possession with 1,500 feet of a school, possession with intent to sell, possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a drug factory setting.

His bond was set at $100,000.

Lucas was given a court date of Aug. 29.
