The Life Star medical helicopter was called to a two-vehicle crash in Meriden on Wednesday morning.

The crash was reported on Oregon Road near Route 70, which is also known as River Road, around 9:30 a.m.

The road was expected to be closed until a little after 11 a.m.

Police said the driver of an SUV complained about not being able to feel the driver's legs. That person was transported to Hartford Hospital by Life Star.

The driver of the second vehicle, a blue car, was transported to Hartford Hospital by an ambulance.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by police.
