A 38-year-old man was arrested at a Chuck E Cheese in Orange after police said he showed a handgun to employees and officers had to stop him from drinking and driving.

Officers were called to restaurant, which is located on 82 Boston Post Rd., on Sept. 24 at about 10 p.m.

Employees told police that they noticed empty liquor bottles left behind on a table where the suspect and a group were sitting as they began to leave the restaurant.

Police arrested New Haven resident, Stephen Soares, for threatening and breach of peace when he lifted his shirt to reveal a holstered handgun, and said to employees, “who is going to do something?”

The arrest took place

Officers seized the handgun and took Soares into custody.

Soares posted a $2,500 bond and is expected to appear in court on Oct.11.
