Man injured at Talcott Mountain State Park in Simsbury

Man suffered a leg injury at Talcott Mountain State Park in Simsbury on Monday afternoon. (WFSB)

A man suffered a leg injury at Talcott Mountain State Park in Simsbury on Monday afternoon and was taken to the hospital by Life Star medical helicopter.

The unidentified man was found "alert and conscious" at the state park around 2 p.m. But, Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said the man "had a possible broken femur and ankle."

State EnCon Police and Simsbury Fire Department worked together on the incident.

The incident is under investigation by the state EnCon Police. No further information was released by authorities.
