Manchester road reopens after woman struck by vehicle

A woman suffered "serious injuries" after police said she was struck by a vehicle in Manchester on Tuesday morning.

Police said the pedestrian was hit on Hartford Road around 8:15 a.m. The incident happened between Elm and Pine Streets.

Police said the driver stopped at the scene and is cooperating with them.

The woman was taken to an area hospital where police did not release her condition.

A cause is still under investigation.

A portion of Hartford Road was shut down until 9:15 a.m.
