Rail riders can expect heavy delays.

Metro-North said the New Haven line service is experiencing delays of up to 90 minutes.

It said the reason is a downed overhead wire in the Bridgeport area.

No one was hurt.

Metro-North said substitute bus service was provided on the Waterbury Branch for the 11:51 a.m. train which departed Waterbury and made all stops to Bridgeport.

Metro-North urged riders to listen for announcements.
