New Britain police search for driver involved in hit-and-run

Police have obtained surveillance footage of the car leaving the scene (New Britain police)

A 55-year-old man suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a car in New Britain on Thursday night.

Police said the man was hit by a car while walking in a parking lot on Arch Street. The driver fled the scene.

The car involved is being described as a light-colored two-tone sedan.

Police are looking at surveillance footage of the vehicle leaving the scene as part of their investigation.
