Report: Connecticut police stopping minorities at high rates

A 24 year-old man died after police said he fell hit his head on the ground and died in a Hamden parking lot on Sunday night.

Officers were called to a report of an “unconscious person” in the parking lot of Andale Restaurant, which is located at 3307 Whitney Ave., around 11:50 p.m.

Upon arrival, police found a man, who was later identified as Hamden resident Lorenzo Cucciniello, in need of medical attention.

Cucciniello was rushed to Yale-New Haven Hospital where police said he died on Monday.

The body of Cucciniello was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington for an autopsy.

The incident is under investigation by the Hamden Police Department Major Crimes Division. Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call 203-230-4040.
