PD: Teen killed in Bridgeport shooting identified

Police have identified a man shot and killed in Bridgeport on Saturday. (WFSB)

Police have identified a man shot and killed in Bridgeport Saturday.

Shane Slinsky, 18, of Stamford was shot around 4:30 p.m.

He was shot twice in the head and was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said he had no apparent ties to Bridgeport and are unsure of why he was there.

They said no shell casings were found at the scene, although witnesses heard gunshots.

No witnesses have come forward and there currently is not a suspect.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Bridgeport Police.
