Car found engulfed in flames with wires on it in Danbury

Danbury Police are investigating a death of a woman, who they say, died of an apparent gunshot wound.

In a release police said they responded to 26 South Street at 1:30pm to a complaint of shots fired.

Upon arrival, police said they found the 31-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound. She later died on the scene.

Police have not release the identity of the victim, pending notification of the family.

Police have not made any arrests and are investigating the cause of the death.
